do I find and reserve a hotel with your service?
There is a list of
selective hotels from almost all cities in mainland China and Hong Kong. You can browse
the list sorted by cities and star rate. If a hotel name is highlighted, you can follow
the link to view its homepage which has the useful information and facilities about the
hotel. The highlighted hotels are also the ones we have arranged special discount
arrangements with.
Also, be sure to
make your reservation for the full duration of your stay. If you do need to extend
your stay after arrival, please contact with us so you are not charged the hotel's full
rate.

2. How
does it work?
Due to the lack of full computerization of China's hotel reservation system, it is very
difficult to book and confirm a China hotel from outside of China unless the hotel is
linked with an international reservation agency. Via our agency and our network, we are
proud that we can now book and confirm with more than 160 China and Hong Kong hotels
(1-star to 5-star) before you leave your home!

4. Can I
make a reservation directly through the hotel?
The rates listed on SinoHotelGuide.com website are only available through our service. If
you would like to make a reservation directly with the hotel you will need to contact them
directly, and you will usually be charged an average of 10% to 50% more.

your hotel rates per room or per person?
All of our listed rates are per room, NOT per person.

7. What
does it cost to use your hotel booking service?
There is no charge to use SinoHotelGuide.com for reserving hotels and, in fact, you will
usually save a lot of money by booking at our special rates. Before SinoHotelGuide.com
came along the only people with access to these low hotel rates were travel agents.

8. Do I
need a credit card to make a hotel reservation?
Usually, credit card information is not necessary to guarantee the reservation. All
payment goes directly to the hotel. Sometimes we will need a reconfirmation from you to
verify that you are a serious customer. Occasionally, during a special busy
season such as Canton Fair period, the
hotel will ask for credit card info and an exact airline/train number to secure the
reservation.

9. What
is your cancellation policy for hotel reservations?
The electronic confirmation will have a due date by which time you must confirm acceptance
of your reservation by sending us e-mail. If we do not receive these details by the due
date, which is shortly before your arrival date, we will cancel your room automatically.

10. How
do you check-in to the hotel?
When we confirm your China hotel reservations, we will supply you the following:
guest's full name
arrival and departure date
whether breakfast (Chinese or western) is included
confirmation number (Some hotel don’t have the confirmation number)
When you arrive to the hotel at the agreed arrival date, you just need to present your
passport and mention that you've made the reservation. The hotel receptionist,
anticipating your arrival, will warmly provide you with the key to your room.

11. How
to make payment
The hotel room rate can be settled directly to the hotel upon you check-in. You can pay by
credit card or cash. You can also pay the room rate to us by cash and somebody of our
agency will go to your hotel to receive your payment after you check-in the hotel. Occasionally, during
the Canton Fair period, we will ask you to deposit one night
room rate or total room rates for secure your reservation.
When you check out, you just pay the rest of room rates.

What is the Hotel Policy for Children?
Most hotels adopt the policy of allowing children to stay in the room with parents either
with or without an extra bed. The normal hotel policy is not to charge for children
if they are under twelve years of age. Some hotels will limit occupants of a room to
two adults and one child only. Only a few hotels will have an existing bedding for
two adults and two children in a room so an extra bed is usually required. Some
hotels will, unfortunately, charge for this extra bed.
